Financial Controller

Steve is a part-qualified Accountant with more than 14 years experience in the finance industry, encompassing senior management positions. He began his career with Barclays Bank plc, where he gained an extensive knowledge of the banking environment, both personal and corporate.

In 1997 he moved to Share plc, a Hertfordshire based stockbroker, where he progressed in his career in accounting, becoming Chief Accountant in 2001. As an integral part of the senior management team, Steve was responsible for handling monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts, VAT returns, statutory accounts, corporation tax, budgeting, forecasts, regulatory compliance and returns, board pack preparation and commentary; he was also the main point of contact for internal/external auditors and the company bankers.

In 2004, he joined KingsOak Homes (Milton Keynes) as Company Accountant. The role included the production of management accounts, variance analysis, group reporting (Barratts plc), Treasury management, creation of standard department procedures and the company accounting timetable. Steve joined e-FM in January 2007 where he manages a portfolio of clients around London and the North Home Counties, including manufacturing, property and media companies. He is actively involved in helping e-FM enhance its services to its own client base.
